Aurora at Narvikhytta

Tucked away in the forest above Narvik is our Narvikhytta, a large wooden log cabin. Narvikhytta is a great location to watch the northern lights in a serene location close to the city. A large terrace provides great views over Narvik and to the night sky.

Access is suprisingly easy from Narvikfjellet - depending on your preferences either by a short (15 - 25 min) hike or a quick snow cat ride. Once you arrive at the hut, our staff greets you with coffee and snacks and the guide will share stories about the northern lights. A 3-course dinner is available on request.

The lodge provides a comfortable and cosy atmosphere, where you can fully relax. Your guide is always on the look-out for the northern lights. When they appear, you have the opportunity to watch them either from the terrace of the hut, or a quiet place in the forest.

If you would like to turn this into an active evening, you can try snowshoeing to or around Narvikhytta. We provide snowshoes - even if you just want to try them while at Narvikhytta.
