Our terms and sales conditions together with your order, confirmed through an order confirmation or a receipt, constitute the total contract basis for the purchase. These provisions apply as a binding contract for goods and services purchased via narvikfjellet.no, over the counter in the ski centre, and directly from an agent.
1. General Terms
1.1. You must be 18 years or older to place an order on www.narvikfjellet.no. This applies for all products and/or services that can be ordered on the website in question.
1.2 Check that confirmation you receive is in accordance with the order. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the contract/order confirmation is in accordance with the order.
1.3 Narvikfjellet disclaims responsibility for errors that guests make if they have not followed our terms. The terms protect you as a guest and Narvikfjellet as the distributor.
2.1. An order is binding as soon as an order number has been given to the guest and payment has been made. It is the guest’s responsibility to check that the arrival and departure dates and other information that is significant for the order, are correct.
2.2 You will receive an email when you have placed an order, provided that you have used a correct and valid email address.
2.3 Narvikfjellet and our collaboration partners are responsible for ensuring that your login information is not misused, re-sold to a third party, or in other ways distributed without your consent.
2.4 When you place your order you consent to receiving relevant information from us via email.
3.1. All prices are given in NOK (Norwegian crowns). The agreed prices are binding for all parties. The prices quoted by Narvikfjellet are subject to printing errors.
3.2 Narvikfjellet reserves the right to make changes to the price due to increased costs of procuring goods and services, increased taxes, or other circumstances outside the control of the place of sale.
3.3 The prices quoted by Narvikfjellet are subject to printing errors.
4.1. Orders/purchases must be paid in full at the time the order is placed. Guests must take and show the order confirmation upon arrival.
4.2 Narvikfjellet uses the payment system from Nets and you can pay with Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Visa prepaid, Bankaxcept, or Amex. The actual transaction is handled by Teller.
4.8 An invoice fee of NOK 49 will be added for payment by invoice. The main due date will be 30 days before arrival. Orders that are not paid for by the due date can be cancelled by the seller. The ordinary cancellation terms apply.
5. Cancellation and Changes
5.1 All cancellations of activities/experiences/services must be sent in writing to Narvikfjellet AS at [email protected]
5.2 The orderer is responsible for their own, relevant insurance premiums for travel and orderer/rental conditions. For example travel and leisure insurance, as well as travel and liability insurance.
5.3 See the specified cancellation terms under the product in question; ski school point 9, activity point 10, event point 11.
6. Force Majeure and unsatisfactory weather conditions
6.1 Narvikfjellet and our sub-suppliers will not be liable for unsatisfactory weather conditions, closed facilities, or other conditions that lie outside the ski centre’s control. We make reservations about pricing errors, descriptions of services and technical problems that can occur.
7. Terms for lift passes (prepared by ALF)
7.1. Lift passes are personal and cannot be transferred to another person.
7.2 A new season pass/year pass can be purchased for a fee of NOK 100, plus an Axess card for NOK 100.
7.3 There is no right of return for lift passes.
7.4 A lift pass can be destroyed without replacement in the event of misuse or breaches of the alpine ski run rules.
7.5 Compensation will not be paid for unforeseen operational stoppages, e.g., bad weather, power cuts, faulty machinery, etc.
7.6 Parts of the competition runs can be reserved for competitions and training.
7.7 An Axess card is obligatory for all types of cards due to the touch-free ticket system. If you do not have an Axess card, one can be purchased for NOK 100 in addition to the lift pass price. This is not relevant for single trips on the cable car, a paper ticket is used for these.
7.8 Children aged 0-6 get a free lift pass if a helmet and Axess card are used. All children under 7 years must have an Axess card with a valid lift pass. The free lift pass can be downloaded onto the Axess card in the Ski Shop.
7.9 Guests are responsible for presenting a discount coupon/voucher/gift voucher/student ID before a lift pass is purchased. Refunds will not be given after payment has been made.
7.10 Groups of more than 10 persons can get up to 15% discount on lift passes in Narvikfjellet if a joint payment is made for the group. Enquiries about group discounts are to be sent to [email protected]
7.11 There is not right of return/deposit for Axess cards.
7.12 Guests are obliged to familiarise themselves with which lifts are running and which runs are open before a lift pass is purchased. Refunds will not be given after payment has been made.
7.13 Guests are obliged to assess weather and skiing conditions based on their skiing/snowboarding skills before a lift pass is purchased. Refunds will not be given after payment has been made.
7.14 Narvikfjellet is responsible for making information available on which lifts and runs are in operation.
7.15 Refunds in the event of operational interruptions, see the details in point 12.
7.16 Refunds in the event of illness or injury; in the event of illness or injury, the pass user will be entitled to a proportional refund of the pass expenses for the time that the pass cannot be used. The injury or illness must be documented upon request by a doctor’s certificate.
8. Terms for ski rental
8.1. Valid ID is obligatory when you rent equipment. This also applies for pre-booked and paid equipment.
8.2 In order to rent equipment in Narvikfjellet AS, the lessee/guest must be minimum 18 years or have a guardian who is 18 years or older.
8.3 All payment must be made in advance. Refunds of the rental amount will only be made in the event of illness/injury documented by a doctor’s certificate.
8.4 Alpine skis can be easily mixed up. Remember what your skis look like (keep the receipt where the barcode is noted) and where you left the skis! You are not allowed to hand over, rent out, or sell rented equipment.
8.5 Equipment must only be used in marked and prepared runs. Damage to equipment from other use must be compensated.
8.6 The lessor is not liable for theft of the equipment. The lessee is responsible for storing the equipment in a safe place during the rental period. The lessee must replace the equipment in the event of theft.
8.7 The lessor is not liable for personal injury inflicted on the lessee, goods, or third person in the rental period.
8.8 Money will not be refunded for an interrupted rental period, unless a written doctor’s certificate is presented.
8.9 The equipment must be returned to the lessor during opening hours when the rental period has ended.
8.10 It is the lessee’s responsibility to approve the equipment before use.
8.11 The lessee is aware that the binding on alpine skis is a release type of binding. This reduces the risk of injury, but is no guarantee of safety. The bindings on snowboards do not release.
8.12 When renting avalanche equipment, a deposit of NOK 300 will be required when the equipment is handed over. The deposit will be refunded when the equipment is returned (in original condition).
9. Terms for Ski School
9.1. Payment for the ski school must be made before lessons start, either online or over the counter.
9.2 In the event of cancellation or changes up until 48 hours before lessons start, the entire amount will be refunded minus a fee of NOK 200.
9.3 In the event of cancellation under 48 hours before the start-up, a doctor’s certificate will be required for a refund, minus a fee of NOK 200.
9.4 For adults: It is useful for those of us who work in the ski school if we know in advance whether children have any special needs. This makes it easier for us to ensure that the children have the best possible experience. Parents ought to make sure that their children arrive energised and that they have eaten. They will then get as much as possible out of the ski school.
10. Terms for activity
10.1. Contact [email protected] to cancel or change a booked activity.
10.2 Payment for the activity must be made before the activity starts, either online or over the counter.
10.3 Cancellation is free of charge up to 7 days before the activity starts, unless otherwise specified.
10.4 Cancellation within 48 hours of the start-up time: No refund.
10.5 A full refund will be made in the event of illness and a doctor’s certificate.
10.6 Narvikfjellet reserves the right to cancel an activity if, due to safety reasons, it is not responsible to carry out the activity (for example, due to the weather). A full refund will be made for such cancellations unless the parties agree on a change of date for the activity.
10.7 Narvikfjellet reserves the right to cancel an activity if the terms are not fulfilled, for example, the minimum number of participants, etc. If this is the case, the orderer will be notified the day before the activity. A full refund will be given if the orderer does not accept the change of date for the activity.
These terms apply for the following activities: Climbing in Linken Climbing Park, sledging, snowshoeing trips, northern lights trips, all guiding, festivals, and organised events with entrance tickets.
11. Terms for events
11.1. Changes to and cancellation of a booked event must be sent in writing to [email protected]
11.2 Cancellation terms 0-99 persons:
60+ days before the arrival date: free cancellation
30-59 days: 50% reduction without a fee
15-30 days: 25% reduction without a fee
6-14 days: 10% reduction without a fee
11.3 Cancellation terms 100+ persons:
90+ days: 50% reduction with a fee
60-89 days: 25% reduction without a fee
15-59 days: 25% reduction without a fee
6-14 days: 10% reduction without a fee
11.4 Payment groups 0-99 persons: 50% deposit paid by credit card or invoice 60 days before arrival. The remainder is to be paid after the event.
11.5 Payment groups 100+ persons: 50% deposit paid by credit card or invoice 90 days before arrival. The remainder is to be paid after the event.
11.6 We will require a Business Registration Number and will make a credit check for invoices to companies.
11.7 We will require a registered personal identity number for invoices to private persons.
11.8 The orderer is responsible for providing the correct information to Narvikfjellet for the order.
11.9 Narvikfjellet is responsible for holding the booked activity/service/catering in accordance with the order.
12. Skiing Safety
In collaboration with Alpinanleggenes Landsforening, ALF.
12.1. We want all our skiing guests to use a helmet, show consideration to other skiers and snowboarders, and follow the sensible skiing rules. It must be safe to ski at our ski centre, we are all responsible for how we ski.
12.2 Responsibility to avoid injury: You must act so that you don’t injure yourself or others.
12.3 Adjust your speed to the conditions: You must be in control, adjust your speed and method to your skills, the terrain, snow conditions, and traffic in the ski runs.
12.4 Right of way: If you come from behind (from above), you are responsible for avoiding a collision.
12.5 Overtaking/downhill skiing: Skiing straight downhill is prohibited apart from during organised training. If you pass another skier/snowboarder, you have to give the person in question sufficient room for both controlled and uncontrolled movements.
12.6 Starting, skiing into, or turning upwards in a run: If you ski into or turn upwards in a run, you must ensure that this is done without any danger to yourself or others. The same applies for skiing after a stop.
12.7 Do not stop/sit down in narrow or blind areas.
12.8 On foot in the ski run: If you are on foot, you must keep to the outer edges of the run.
12.9 Ski stoppers/ski/snowboard leashes: Ski stoppers/ski/snowboard leashes are obligatory. Check that the bindings are set correctly.
12.10 Respect signs: Follow signage, markings and instructions.
12.11 Help in the event of accidents: In the event of accidents everyone has a duty to help. Witnesses and contributors are obliged to give personal details. Alpine skiing comes with a certain danger, therefore be careful. Drugs and alcohol and skiing do not mix. Breaches of the sensible skiing rules can lead to expulsion from the ski centre and the destruction of your lift pass without a refund.
13. Operational Interruptions
13.1. In the event of operational interruptions - i.e., lift stoppages and/or more than 50% of the total ski runs at the time of purchase cannot be used - the ski pass holder is entitled to a proportional refund for the time that the lift pass cannot be used. Operational interruptions must last for at least 30 minutes and the sum of the operational interruptions must make up more than 1/3 of the validity period of the lift pass. Refunds will not be made for the purchase of day passes, half-day passes, or hourly passes.
13.2 Operational interruptions that lie outside the operational management’s control (force majeure): In the event of operational interruptions that lie outside the ski resort’s control, the refund will be equal to 50% of the proportional refund that the ski pass holder is entitled to in accordance with the previous point. This applies for operational interruptions due to, for example, weather and wind conditions, avalanches, lightning strikes, floods, fire, power stoppages, strikes, etc., which give conditions that the resort could not reasonably expect to take into consideration at the time of purchase. It is up to the resort to document that the operational interruption is due to such conditions, and that the resort does not have the option to avoid or overcome the consequences of them.
Based on the above-mentioned provision, it must be clear that the ski pass holder is not entitled to the full purchase sum, only a proportional refund for the period that the season pass cannot be used. The maximum entitled amount that can be refunded in the event of a lack of snow is 50% of the purchase sum of the ski pass. This presupposes that the resort cannot open for the season. On the other side, if the resort remains open for more than 1/3 of the season, the ski pass holder is not entitled to a refund.
In other words, the ski pass holder is entitled to refund for days that the resort is shut that are in addition to 1/3 of the total number of skiing days. The refund will be 50% of the proportional share of the period that the lift pass cannot be used. This is a calculation where the value of the ski pass must be divided by the number of days in the season. This ‘day rate’ is decisive for the size of refund entitlement.
The nature of the case means that any refund claims cannot be calculated until after the season has ended. The resort owner can, thus, reject any refund claims until the end of the season. Any refund claims must be directed to the resort owner after this date.

Your personal protection is important for Narvikfjellet, and we take our responsibility for the security of your personal information very seriously.
We assume responsibility for protecting your personal information and practice openness on the information we obtain about you and what we do with this.
In order to reflect the most recent changes in personal protection law, and our engagement in openness, we have updated our Personal Protection Policy.
15. Personal Protection
Narvikfjellet respects your personal protection and processes personal information as the data controller in accordance with the Personal Information Act. These terms give you information on how we process information about you.
15.1 We process visitor information. This is information that the server generates automatically when someone visits our website. This typically includes which pages have been downloaded, the time, which page you came from, the IP address, type of unit (e.g., iPhone), type of browser and operative system. Visitor information is used anonymously for the operation and further development of the websites. If you enter information in registration forms, we will also process the information that you enter into the registration forms. This information is used to administer the services. Your email address can be used to send you advertisements if you have consented to this, or what is otherwise allowed under Norwegian law. In addition we process your enquiries and feedback if you voluntarily contact us or give feedback on our websites.
15.2 Links: narvikfjellet.no can include links to websites that are owned and run by others. These personal protection terms only apply for narvikfjelletl.no. We are not responsible for how your personal information is processed on external sites.
